Curriculum Extension
Excursion
In order to facilitate learning, Pupils are encouraged to explore outside the classroom environment by going on excursions. During this period, pupils gain more knowledge and experience about issues or topics already discussed in the class.
Project-Based Learning (PBL)
This is an integral part of work at Halifield School. Pupils are continuously engaged in PBL to ensure hands-on learning takes place and to help children gain independence of thought and action.
Competitions
Pupils are always involved in internal and external competitions. Thus far, our Pupils have made the school proud in various external competitions- including the Spelling Bee and MUSON Music Competition. A plethora of trophies from both Sports, and Arts Competition adorn our corridors.
Leadership Training Camp
This event which takes place every year trains pupils on good leadership skills. Pupils are trained to be responsible members of society while gaining the knowledge of entrepreneurial skills all in line with the school’s vision “Training for Distinction”.
Beyond The Classroom
Beyond the classroom, more happens to enrich the young minds we cater to; from excursions (local and international); to “Thank God It’s Friday(TGIF)” –a skills acquisition programme, to annual presentations such as Better By Books (Book Reviews); to ‘Salute’ ( a research and development programme and our Early Year’s Theme Presentation, these all make Halifield a–sought-after–school, earning our parents loyalty and giving our children an atmosphere where they simply love to learn!
